DMCA & Takedown Policy

AminoTides respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), AminoTides will respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement and may remove or disable access to material that is claimed to infringe. The DMCA also requires online service providers seeking safe harbor protection to designate an agent to receive takedown notices and counter-notices.
1. Policy
AminoTides respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), AminoTides will respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement.
2. Filing a Notice
If you believe that content on this site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the material that is allegedly infringing, with sufficient detail to enable us to locate it, such as a URL.
- Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
These are the core elements generally required for an effective DMCA notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).
3. Designated Agent

The Copyright Office states that service providers should maintain public agent contact information and keep it current.
4. Counter-Notice
If the material you posted was removed in error or due to misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice including the items required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, AminoTides may restore the material in accordance with the DMCA and applicable law.
5. Repeat Infringers
AminoTides will, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
6. False Claims
Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a DMCA notice or counter-notice may subject you to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
7. Small polish suggestion
If you want this to be stronger legally, I can also add a short “Designated Agent Registration” sentence noting that the public contact information may also be listed in the Copyright Office directory once registered.
